Friday, December 24: Oxford responds to a car vs. house on Links Way at approximately 10:30 AM. There were no injuries and firefighters had to use a reciprocating saw to cut away portions of the home so the car could be removed by the wrecker. Photos by Scott Pelletier.

Monday, December 20: Orange responds to a structure fire on Grassy Hill Road. Special thanks to Tom Lenart Jr. for these photos. He had to walk through blizzard like conditions to reach the scene, and then snapped photos while braving temperatures in the single digits (and the wind chill made it even colder). His dedication is simply unmatched.

 

Saturday, December 11: Shelton is dispatched to a structure fire at the J&B Auto Shop on Howe Avenue. Derby was also called to the scene. Photos by Anthony DeLucia.

Saturday, November 13: Monroe responds to a structure fire on Sunrise Terrace. Fire in the garage with extension into the home. Thanks to Car 1 of Oxford for the lift!

Thursday, November 11: Orange responds to a structure fire on Derby Avenue.

Wednesday, November 3: Shortly after 10:30 AM the Monroe Fire Department responded to a working structure fire at a commercial building on Main Street (Route 25). The building housed the Fairfield Indoor Range (gun range) and the Skate Time Skating Rink. The area had a limited water supply and help from several surrounding towns was required to bring the fire under control.

 

Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31: The first six photos are from a rollover on Oxford Road that resulted in two minor injuries on Saturday, October 31st. The vehicle rolled over onto the guard rail which went through the windshield. Firefighters had to cut the guardrail so that the wrecker could remove the vehicle. The next three pictures are photos from the fatal MVA which occurred on Quaker Farms Road at 5:00 AM on Sunday, October 31st.

Thursday, October 7: Shelton responds to the report of smoke coming from the basement of one of the units at the Greystone Condominiums. First arriving units found heavy fire in the basement and crews were able to contain the fire to the basement. Photos by Anthony DeLucia.

Wednesday, October 6: Oxford responds to an 3-car MVA on Oxford Road. One of the drivers needed to be extricated from the vehicle. Firefighters removed the driver's side door and contained a gas leak. DEP was on scene. Oxford Ambulance transported the patients to local hospitals. Photos by Scott Pelletier.

Monday, October 4: The Oxford Fire Dept responded to a car vs. telephone pole on Oxford Road at approximately 2:00 PM. Two occupants needed to be extricated from the vehicle. Firefighters removed the passenger side door and the roof. The patients were transported to a local hospital by Oxford Ambulance. Photos by Scott Pelletier.

Sunday, September 26: Ansonia responds to a car fire in the parking lot of the Holy Rosary Church on Father Salemi Drive. Photos by Anthony DeLucia.

Saturday, September 11: Another factory burns. This time it was the Seymour Specialty Wire Company on River Street. Early photos of the incident are from Anthony DeLucia and Dave Lenart helped out with some of the photos after Ansonia was called in to assist.

 

 

Thursday, September 2: Right around 8:00 PM the Derby Fire Department was dispatched to Emmett Avenue for the report of a fully involved three-story home. Initial reports from the State Police indicated that the fire was through the roof. Upon arrival, Derby would discover fire coming from the attic window on the 'C' side. The crews made a quick knockdown and everyone went home safely. Photos by Chris Schwarz.

Saturday, August 28: The Remington Arms factory in Bridgeport burns again. First Due CEO happened to catch a break this time as he was in the area at the time and arrived on scene early on in this incident. Photos by Anthony DeLucia.
