Attic Fire in Derby

Thursday, September 2

Right around 8:00 PM the Derby Fire Department was dispatched to Emmett Avenue for the report of a fully involved three-story home. Initial reports from the State Police indicated that the fire was through the roof. Upon arrival, Derby would discover fire coming from the attic window on the 'C' side. The crews made a quick knockdown and everyone went home safely.

Remington Arms Complex Burns...Again

Saturday, August 28th: Another fire breaks out at the Remington Arms Complex. This old, vacant factory has been the scene of several fires in recent years, but this one has been the most 'spectacular' of the bunch. The Connecticut Post has the more on the history of problems at this building.

This truck was seen in Downtown Derby earlier this week (Aug. 18th). Could it be coming to Connecticut's smallest city?
